Any plans on fixing annoying little features like having to click through all the ticket prices before getting to the one you want (or having to click through all the days the year starts). There really should be a drop down menu or simply a text box for you to enter the info.
Also, the expanded standings should include the normal standings info plus more, not exclude the normal standings info (like GB, L10). Anyway, game looks good overall, but these are little annoyances I thought could probably be fixed relatively easily. Just my 2 cents. |

I appreciate your input and would have to say that the issues you mentioned sound more like "personal preferences". I rarely if ever use the expanded standings screens and don't change the ticket prices enough for it to matter. BUT, that also is just me.
Thanks for the kinda words and hope that we can continue to fine-tune OOTP.

D - Yeah, but probably not until version 5.0. We'll update the interface to include more traditional GUI functions in certain places.

Steve:
I agree about the expanded standings thing, I don't think that's needs to be changed - but ticket prices idea really should be followed. It really is annoying to click on the price 19 times just to go from $10 to $9.

The expanded standings are great. A nice addition in a future OOTP would be the ability to see the expanding standings for your league while simming instead of automatically watching the standard screen (having GB and such would be nice too). It would be a nice way to monitor how well your team is generally hitting and pitching without having to stop simming every week to look.

A good option in OOTP4 would be to auto manage promotion days, after you play tons of seasons you just don't feel like it.

Well, the standings is partly preference. But I think that it should show it just for consistency sake.
As for the buttons that need to be clicked 19 times to go down 1, that should be fixed. Like I said, great game so far, but the user interface needs more than a little help. Perhaps you can set up some kind of think tank that can find areas the interface could be improved without major programming changes. Just a thought. |

i just skip this altogether, it just didn't interest me that much, your fan interest level will still rise if you're winning, rather than all of a sudden you have a permanent increase in attendance just because you happened to win on bobble head day... |

I think version 5 should have more with the specific pitches, Like how hard each pitch is thrown. Some throw slow big breaking curves, while others throw harder ones. Same goes for Sliders. They should also have what is each pitchers best pitch and how often he uses it, as well as what pitch a batter hits best.

I know, but for future versions it would be really cool to have things like that. That way you could pinch hit based on what kind of pitches the guy throws and who hits his best pitch the best. It would add a whole new dimension of strategy.

You know its funny, I know the pitch type is just for PbP but because it is there I get the feeling that some of my pitchers have better split-fingered fastballs than others and I have some guys that I have to close my eyes if he thwos Sammy Sosa a slider.
I hope it will later have more significance but I would like to say that I like it that it is there as it adds to imagination part of the game for me. |

On the subject of changing ticket prices, How about a couple of "up" "Down" buttons that increase or decrease the increment by one. Personally, If I make a change it is only by a single dollar amount. Would make it easier to decrease at least.
