New League, Gonna need a Commish and Web Builder

Hi, I am thinking of buying web space to run an ootp5 league. I have a ton of ideas for the league. I want it to be a draft started league and I want it to be respectable and 1 of the best leagues around. I will need a web builder/commish to build everything as he/she sees fit. Someone dedicated and dependable and good. I am in the Air Force and I do not have a ton of time but I will dedicate all the time I can to run the draft while someone is building the website. And I will dedicate all my free time to being a great active owner. No newbie guys please apply for this position. I need someone good that will ensure the quality of this league. Once I find this person I will set it all up and get ready to take owners on. I will not buy the web space until I see what this person wants to work with. Here is an outline for now.

Coaches/Scouts- OFF

Salary Cap- 95 Mil to start(will lower to 85 after 2 seasons)

Rosters- Undecided

Fantasy Draft

To Apply email me at fourlanp@bellsouth.net

Leave me your Aim so I can contact you there as well.

Pete, while I echo your sentiments........I don't think it sends the best impression of this forum to actually post those thoughts.

Lay off Pete, he's willing to pay for the webspace. There could be people out there who want to commish a league but don't have the resources (or IDs) to get a site.

Ya, I have the money and want a nice website. Its just an opportunity for someone to make something great at my expense. I just want to be involved. And its hard to find a brand new "draft" league that last.

Being in the Air Force for 7 1/2 years, I can understand where you're coming from. Best of luck getting this off the ground!

I dont want to run the league, Pete it's ok. I just want to pay for the webspace as alot of "would be good" commishes do not have the option of buying space. I would commish and work on the site but I do not have the time. It is just an opportunity for a commish to show off his talents and make something great. He would have all control, I would just be the sponser. I just want to be a part of it and help make it a great league. Thats it. But i see where you guys are coming from but what you are not understanding on the

"wants to run a league but basically have someone else do all the work"

Is I dont want to "run" the league. I want to be an owner, I could help get the league rolling while the "Controller" of the league is getting everything set up to go if need be, if not thats fine too. Thats all I meant. My aplogies Pete.

With PhP Nuke, you don't have to know HTML to put a site up. And, find a host that has Fantastico, and you don't even have to worry about installing it.

I know it's a kinda boxy feel and all, but for people who don't know anything about HTML or website design, it's a quick and easy way to get a site up and running. After you get comfortable enough, there are themes you can download, and other customizations you can do to move it further away from the "canned" look.

AirForce, if you watch this Online leagues forum, soon you will see a post by someone with a league and no webspace. My advice is to watch for this, then join with that poster and host his league. These posts come up at least once every ten days.

Thanks for serving our country, and good luck!

Just a little note. I don't really want to start anything, but I have a gut feeling this has something to do with the person guilty in this thread....

If the host that is chosen has Fantastico, then you can install Nuke from there with a "wizard" style form. If not, you can download from http://www.phpnuke.org and install manually.

As for how to use it, it's pretty self-explainatory. They did a good job at keeping it user friendly.

Ok, well I'm definitely interested in getting my feet wet in this side of the game. So Airforce: I E-mailed you my info and hopefully we can chat about how to get this thing going.

Side note: I think there are plenty of people who would speak to my credibility in the several leagues I've been a part of. And I have no knowledge of the people or leagues involved in the thread that Flames brought up.
