International Pricing Question - help

Hi,
I live in the UK and have downloaded the setup, can one of the staff confirm that the price I will pay will be $29.90 only - reason I ask is that it says excluding taxeswhen you attempt to purchase...can someone confirm what I'll pay one way or the other please...sorry if it's a dumb question just I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get stung for import duties - I think it'll be ok as I'm not really importing - just downloading..any help appreciated..Thanks in advance..

Downloaded and paid the licence myself on Friday and yes it is just US $29.90 converted at the moment by 1.41 to the UK £ or approx £21. There is NO duty or anything coming over the Net download system YET - although I think that the Customs and Excise are working on it for the future:-( HOWEVER if my info is right good old USA wont agree to the documentation so we may be OK from USA but get caught eventually from the rest of Europe. For now NO duty and NO VAT on downloads.

We should be OK from Europe John, there's no duty on products bought in the EU. I'm sure C&E will keep trying to find a way to screw us though

Actually Number 6 you are right....dredging back further in my memory on this its the EU thats stirring this up claiming that downloaded software from USA is giving an unfair advantage over bought boxed software in Europe as no Duty or VAT is payable by people living in the EU from downloads. They cant see that a lot of software is also downloaded from European Companies too. However I am sure the C & E will keep trying to get money out of us as you say.
