Gloves for pitchers

What glove do you use for your pitcher? Does it matter? Infield makes sense, I guess.

Most Pitchers use infielders gloves, however they do have the gloves made for pitchers that cannot be seen through so they can hide their pitches.

I use an infielders glove in the game and in real life....

Then again, I use the same glove at every position I play, including First Base. Always was more comfortable, I hate the First Basemans gloves.

You must have asked the pitcher to only throw 65 when you played backstop!

I knew of someone when I played baseball who played catcher with an infielder's glove..
I prefer the infielder's glove over the catcher's glove.. It always took me an inning to get used to it.. I always wore a batter's glove under my fielder's glove *laughs*

In little league, I ended up catching with an infielders glove, because my pitchers didn't throw hard, my mom wouldn't buy me a catcher's glove, and the catcher's glove the team had was one of those old ones that was full of padding, so that you couldn't really catch with it, it just stopped the ball.

I caught for like two innings with it, and that was it.

I catch fastpitch softball now, and still use a non-catcher's glove for the position. It's just easier for me.

If Randy Wolf is giving you that advice you know it's got to be good.

You think I would waste the good years of my knees?

Naw....No catching for me.
