Would this quick fix, allow us to say take a few players and give them the proper experience to say be eligible for free agency?

Yeah, I don't think the problem is only with the GeForce roster set. Anybody who used a 3rd party roster from prior versions of OOTP4 will also run into the "experience problem". I know we have a handful of players in the Maelstrom that will need to be edited. Ideally, the fix would look at a players actual number of years of experience and base it on that. Maybe it could look at the number of lines of major league stats. This wouldn't be perfect, but it would be pretty close.

Can anyone tell me where this bad boy exists???
I just confirmed with CommishJoe that it does exist, but he doesn't know where to download it. Our league is using Rocco's opening day 2003 rosters and just found out all our Rocco players who had no prior actual MLB experience prior to 2003 have this exact same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Here's where some of Pierre's other utilities are. Not sure if it's in there or not.

You know that was the first place I looked and I didn't think it was there. I went back and looked again for grins and I think that career editor might work.
I got the impression there was a utility that will go through the whole roster set and apply the fix, but this is better than nothing if it works. Thanks for the help. |

So there is no way to fix all of the experience problems in the league?

Yes, use Pierre's Career editor and modify each player to roll their experience back one year. Because there are so many players and many of them will likely never matter because they may never make the majors, our league just modifies the players as they are called up. We dedicated a forum for each team to just list the players that need to be fixed. It works out very easy and isn't a huge effort.

I found the program you are looking for, but I can't seem to attach it here. It says it's too big, but it's only 384kb.
I have it, if someone wants it email me, I think that will work. bwolfe@fuse.net |
