" To knowledge there is, and never has been, a MLB player from China. So to include a file of Chinese names wouldn't be accurate. "

There have been players from The Netherlands so I would like to see a dutch file included also, although Markus might not like that too much, being from Germany and all :-)

I want to state that I am only kidding and that I love the game and every little change that is made improves the game even more!

groet,
Klaas

P.S. I'm still upset by the site <a href="http://ihr-seid-nicht-dabei.de/" target="_blank">http://ihr-seid-nicht-dabei.de/</a> (soccer fans will understand :-) )

This is the best idea I've heard of for this problem. And just think of the simplicity of tailoring the game to our tastes. The only way to make it better would be to add a "Nations.dat" file or some such to specify which nations are used and what proportion of players come from these countries.

I may be going out on a limb but I'm guessing Harry Kingman isn't/wasn't Chinese... Having the honor of being born in a country doenst make you of that ethnicity...

Not true, I've seen plenty of Bucky's, Wilbur's, and Jethro's in the game...

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

Hell Atlantic,

Analogy -a similarity between like features of unlike things on which a comparison may be based

big fan of your posts over on FOF, just thought you should add this word to your vocab .... while not super model quality, my wife is quite pretty ....

but of course being a guy, even if my wife was supermodel quality, she'd still be routine after a while .... my only peave on this issue is that nothing ever seems good enough, Markus added to the game so there are no more Javier Suzuki's and it's still not good enough.... also I didn't like his comment about not including orgin if Markus can't change it ..... some people just seem to get offended by getting out of bed in the morning

Agreed, I was taking his statement literally and I suspect that Harry Kingman might have been caucasian in appearance :-)

Of course, there are definitely ethnic Chinese who were born in other countries. Bruce Chen, for example, was born in Panama, but has a Guangdong province (southern China/Hong Kong) surname and looks very Chinese.

<a href="http://baseball.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6087" target="_blank">http://baseball.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6087</a>

And as we know, "Bruce" is a common Chinese name :-)

I believe Bruce Chen's granddaddy went to Panama to build the Canal...

It should be pointed out that one of the primary purposes of this board is to provide suggestions for future upgrades.
Why view is as complaining then?
Why berate one persons view?
I have seen many people post suggestions which to me, would serve no purpose in the game to the point of being pointless. So why make a big case out of it. Disagree if you want then move on.
