Tango in Buenos Aires or Rebel in Havana, It's your Choice!
The WLB is currently looking for two new GMs to take over the Buenos Aires Tango and Havana Suger King franchises.
![]() Buenos Aires is a negelected team in need of an ambitious and patient GM. Boasting future Hall of Famer Marcos Bandillo, this team really doesn't have much else going for it. Havana on the other hand is an up-and-coming team boasting a top 10 farm system in addition of a number of great young players already at the big league level, including Pedro Canseco and Almadeto Castro. The WLB is currently in the final month of the 2009 season, so we need new GMs to finish the extension offers! The WLB is fictional OOTP5 league with: - seven years of OOTP history (four with OOTP4 and three with OOTP5) - BOSI league (great for tracking players development!) - traditional ratings - finances on ($75 million salary cap) - coaches/scouts off - no DH - renamed players (for international effect) - live on-line sims twice a week of two game weeks - core of excellent GMs - off-season minor league tournement (in-planning) - new, re-designed home page (work in progress) The WLB is also very newbie friendly and only require that you own OOTP5 and have some solo OOTP experience. Links to the league: http://www.wlb.ootp-leagues.com/ http://www.wlb.ootp-leagues.com/Reports/league.html A link to the league rules : http://www.wlb.ootp-leagues.com/rules.htm A link to the Buenos Aires team: http://www.wlb.ootp-leagues.com/Reports/team10.html A link to the Havana team: http://www.wlb.ootp-leagues.com/Reports/team6.html If you are interested, please email me at ben.music@testquest.com during normal working hours or bnbmusic @earthlink.net suring the evening with your name, your experience and why you'd like to join us in the WLB. An AIM handle is very nice to have as well, but not strictly required. You can also contact me on AIM (MYNYYFan). We look forward to hearing from you!

Well, the Suger Kings have been snapped up. Leaving only the Tango left. This really is a great league with an exceptional group of GMs. Don't let the crappiness of the Tango scare you away!

This is an A+ quality league. The ownership is solid and friendly. After a short time you grow attached to your players (it is fun to rename them for international effect when they are still drafted and to follow them through their career). And don't fret about the talent on the Tangos - when I took over the London franchise it was in trouble and I have settled into a playoff contender every year - it doesn't take too long to turn around a team in this league.

The Buenos Aires Tango of the URL=http://www.wlb.ootp-leagues.com]WLB[/URL] are still looking for a GM. They may not be a good team, they may not have many prospects, but that just means you get to prove how good you really are.
Plus, you get to meet attractive Argentinian beauties, like Laura Romero, Argentina's contribution to the 2003 Miss World Pageant. The WLB is currently in the final month of the 2009 season, so we need new GMs to finish the extension offers! The WLB is fictional OOTP5 league with: - seven years of OOTP history (four with OOTP4 and three with OOTP5) - BOSI league (great for tracking players development!) - traditional ratings - finances on ($75 million salary cap) - coaches/scouts off - no DH - renamed players (for international effect) - live on-line sims twice a week of two game weeks - core of excellent GMs - off-season minor league tournament (in-planning) - new, re-designed home page (work in progress) - no qualms about resorting to cheap gimmicks to recruit new GMs ![]() The WLB is also very newbie friendly and only requires that you own OOTP5 and have some solo OOTP experience. Wow, well I cannot offer T & A to entice a solid GM, but I can offer a good gaming experience. The Tango are a Western Hemisphere team and part of the South American Division. While the South American is not as powerful as the Central American, the next Tango GM will have a good chance at the playoffs within a few years as the SA has the most parity of Western Hemi divisions. You also get to be in the Western Hemisphere which is hands down the class of the league.
In our division you can have a good pitching staff AND a good offense. This league is PACKED with very solid and dependable GM's. We only need a couple more to fill these gaps and we'll be back to next-to-no turnover. Only dependable GM's need apply. GM Ben Mexico City Aztecs |

Everything the "other" Ben said is true, except that part about the Western Hemisphere being the class of the league. That's a bunch of bull, everyone in the Eastern Hemisphere know we are where it's at!
Sure the Western Hemisphere may have more Championships, but that's a thing of the past. Here is a smilie showing proving Eastern dominance. ![]() The Eastern Hemisphere is the smilie on the bike, the Western Hemisphere is the smilie being run over. Enough said! Then again, maybe the new Buenos Aires GM can prove his worth to his new Hemisphere. Join and find out

Please don't allow our Commish's dillusions of grandeur keep you from joining the WLB. Just because he has the best EH team he thinks that he has a "good" team. Getting the best record in the Asian Division still isn't all that impressive to a Western Hemisphere team.
![]() As you can all see, the WLB has plenty of healthy discussion and ribbing. You aren't going to find many leagues with an active a forum as we do. We also have regular news articles submitted by random league GM's. Come take a look at what we have to offer.

Yes I too was at the bottom of the dung pile, but after 4 years of drafting and making a few smart trades, I am back on top of the African Division. My first round pick in the in the 2007 draft is proving to the world that my choice was a solid one Heat OF Aspar Dabar
Great league and great owners! |

If you want to join as fast as possible, look for either myself (MNNYYFan) or Gary (DJMaxito4000), our one of our League Presidents on AIM. Hopefully one of use will be on.
Otherwise email works well too.

We encourage newbies as well. The league is currently starting playoffs and the Tango will own the 1st overall pick in the upcoming entry draft which will make it a good starting point for rebuilding. Heck if it is the team name you hate, we could allow for a rename. But they do have a spiffy new logo!

This is a league I would definitely join if I had the time to devoit to it. Ben and boys have a great league that has been around for years.
I am sure the new owners will appreciate it.
