cant see the screen

what i mean is the game loads up fine, but when it does the background for all the season stats that post is white and i cant see anything. opening a new menu from a dropdown is ok but when it loads again it is white, what do i do?

Go into the “game”(OOTP, ITP, etc) folder and open the "game config" file, toggle the 3d setting, close those things and try the game again.

If that doesn't solve it, go to start then run and type dxdiag and hit enter. The direct X utility will open and it will let you know what version of direct X you are have installed. If it is less than v9 go to http://www.microsoft.com download and install v9, reboot your computer and then try the game again.

Update video drivers.

Change color depth.

Chances are one of these will solve the issue.

none of that works. When i go to the game config file i only have 2 settings the 3d and sound. I have directx ver9. My computer is brand new 2 days old, i transfered my hard drive so as far as im concerned it should work. What color depth would i be changing?

Update the video drivers:

Just because you have a new PC it does not mean that all of the drivers and software are "up to date".

Color depth, right click desktop>properties>settings tab>color quality.
