>100 Fielding

My equipment-modied fielding rating is 114, and yet this is the worst season yet for my 2B. His first full year, he had a fielding pct of .989 with a rating of 88. Next year, with 106, he was .976. Now, in May, he already has 10 errors for a pct of .957. That's with what should be an in-game effectiveness of 114!

Based on this, and what others have reported, I seriously think the ratings wrap over 99, so that 100 is the same as 0 and 114 is the same as 14.

This is bad. Bad, I tell you. B-A-D. Bad.

My adjusted rating at 2b is something like 135 with the glove and shoes. I've won 3 slick fielding awards in 11 years. Although I do think there is some truth to what you say. I think I am committing more errors in the years that I didn't win than should be the case.

Strange -- I won 10 Slick Fielder Awards at first base with a career percentage of about .995 -- and this with about an 85ish fielding rating (including mods).

My fielding rating is 122 and I've won 13 straight Gold Gloves at LF. Never commited more than 2 errors in a season.

Looks like Markus made it so *many* values are taken into consideration to determine how you play (not just in defense). I sort of like not knowing exactly how I'm going to turn out although I'm anxious to see what nuances he's going to throw in in the future.

(As frustrating as real life except without the taxes!)

My 3B has a modded Fielding of 114 with glove and shoes taken into account, and a base of 91. I've won 9 Gold Gloves, but all of them were with FPs of barely .970, and at least 15-25 errors a season, so either every other 3B in the league is Troy Glaus or there's a bug in the award coding.
