That link seems to be broken. Is anyone else having problems with it?

What is there, a demo or something?

That's okay, OOTP only recognizes numbers, not names, so you don't need real rosters.

I can not imagine a scenario under which I will not buy it.

I can imagine some, but they mostly involve the use of nuclear weapons and mass death on the planet.

Seeing as I just a couple of weeks ago buckled down and anted up the $$ for OOTP5- thanks to metsgeek turning me on to it- I'll probably wait a while for OOTP6. Probably just long enough to be playing 5, and feeling like I'm 'missing' something that's in 6 that I'm hearing about on the boards. That'll get me salivating like a hydrophobic racoon, and nothing loosens the pursestrings like salivating hydrophobic anthropomorphism.

After dissapointment with 4 other computer baseball sim games (all still in production) over the last 4 years I will likely only buy OOTP6 in 2004, although if Total Pro Baseball post-release reviews are insanely good I might pick that up as well.

The only way I don't buy it is if the cover features Tommy Lasorda...

Yes, but not until the feedback from the users indicates the first wave of patching is complete. This will be a new engine, and unless I am woefully mistaken, the logical expectation is for bugginess to happen. Of course, if the new product includes custom playoff configurations, overhauled scheduling, and player/team generation that mimics historical results....I may not be able to resist.

It will depend on a few things. 1 Competition from other baseball games. 2 What features and are new for oopt6.

If there is a good console baseball game out next year I will probably buy it and get by with ootp5. If oopt6 adds new features and fixes issues that are important to me I will seriously consider it.

Price and ITP will also be factors in my decision.

I bought OOTP3 and really liked it. Then I bought OOTP4 and really liked it. Then I bought OOTP5 and really liked it. So I think this pattern seeking primate has spotted a trend .

Never bought an OOTP game before but I will most likely buy this one because ITP has really gotten me into the series.
