Question about stadium dimensions
Two quick questions....
1. Do the outfield dimensions have anything to do with gameplay or is that strictly handled from the ballpark factors? 2. Does anyone have any links to websites that have dimensions for some of the older ballparks? Thanks |

I'm sure others will add their knowledge here, but here goes:
1) No, the dimensions are strictly cosmetic values for the PBP, used to determine the length of home runs (i.e. if you set a 1,000 foot fence, the PBP would report a 1,000 foot home run). The real meat of the ballparks is handled by the park factors (i.e. that's where you'd determine whether your park is a hitter's or pitcher's venue). 2) You can start with: http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/index.htm The info listed for the current or past ballpark you select will usually have some info on the fence distances. |

Really the best and easiest to use Soxman has it setup where all you need to do is dump all the stadiums into the graphic folder and each year open up the .dat zip, and overwrite your files in your league folder 1901 is a year that you need to go in and manually fix each stadium of each team, but after that...unzip and dump...and that's it
