500 Homers!

36 Year Old 3B Darrel Michaud just hit his 500th homer. After being one of the top 10 players in the league for close to 12 seasons, and hitting 45 HR in 2018, Darrel dropped off in production for 2019 and managed only 30 bombs. Darrel fell off a cliff in 2020, but only needed 15 HRs to reach the magical mark of 500. In the bottom of the 4th, against Montreal on Sept 16, 2020, the Atlanta third basemen hit a grand slam off of Francis Cuadrado to reach the milestone.

I'm so excited! Man, it really looked like I wasn't going to get 15 HR after having only 2 in 150 or so AB. This guy really fell off a cliff, and it'll be sad to see him go, but at least for sure I know he'll reach the hall. I'll post the stats later.

Using the Bill James HOF tracking stats, my career is decidedly Hall of Fame worthy.

Black-Ink Test: 32 (Average HOFer ~ 27)
Gray-Ink Test: 154 (Average HOFer ~ 144)
Hall of Fame Standards: 61 (Average HOFer ~ 50)
Hall of Fame Monitor: 212 (Likely HOFer > 100)

Darrel Michaud retired shortly after the 2021 season began, as he was released by the Atlanta Braves. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame shortly thereafter.
