Can I have more than 1 career going at one time? I have a 3B an dwould like to start a career as a pitcher without losing the 3b. Is this possible?

Yes. You just go the start screen and start a new career. All careers are stored, exactly as in OOTP5, in an NAME.lg folder. You can also go back and reload that old career, picking up exactly where you left off.
