Speaking of all-star pitchers not pitching in the all-star game because they're playing on Sunday...

Misiorowski vs. Skenes in Pittsburgh tomorrow.

EDIT: Guess not. Miz is out.

Welp, that was fun.

As of this moment, the Cardinals have exactly one player signed up for 2027 and beyond, and that's JJ Wetherholt.

I suspect that there will be 4-5 more by the end of the year, and Jordan Walker is younger than ANY of them.

I loved the all-star game as a kid. I watched the debacle last night, heaven knows why.

I love Ray Charles and fireworks. I don't need both between the 4th and 5th innings.

I love the sight of kids riding their bikes to the sandlot. I don't need that on-field after the fifth.

I hate cancer (I have survived it). I don't need to see cancer victims on a tiny cards in everyone's hands during the next inning break.

Who does MLB think their target audience is and would even that crowd want all this?

I thought is was ironic that the announcer said that MLB had the best of all the All-Star Games... MLB is turning it into a meaningless showcase... I actually shut it off after the 5th inning... when I was young it was exciting to see the best face off and actually want to win the game, if not have the pride to prove that they were better than the best from the opposing league... now I find it more entertaing to watch Netflix than the MLB All-Star Game.

I don't think I have watched any sport's all-star game in over two decades. You guys just reminded me why.

It's just all too much. It doesn't matter how many bells and whistles are added to the All-Star game if the game itself is a snoozer. I just want to see a good game with each league's best players trying their hardest.

There's no "how would Seaver pitch to Yaz?" magic when every team meets every team every year. Mo Vaughn is correct when he points out that this also makes the World Series less special.

Not sure who's paying attention but the Red Sox have won 15 games in a row. Love 'em or hate 'em that's pretty damn impressive.

That's gonna be it. I plan to watch the second leg of the double header from the archive next to a round of Raccoons tomorrow morning, and I bring nothing but bad luck.

Miz needs to stop striking people out or he'll never pitch beyond the 5th inning ever again.

If you had three of his sort, you could get a perfect game with nothing but strikeouts.
