Illegal PT tournament roster

So I was excited to finally see an opening in one of the pop-up PD drafts, they are always full when I see them.

Turns out b/c of the weird lag that happens when you select cards, somehow one of the players i clicked to draft did not end up on my team and I ended up with an illegal roster so as quickly as I got excited I could participate in one of these, i was wrecked lol.

I assume this is basically going to be a "user error" situation but somehow the experience let me click a player to draft and then not actually draft them, which I can only take ownership of clicking confirm to confirm that I wanted to draft (i don't know who) when it wasn't really who i wanted to draft.

There is no way to help me fix this right?

Odds are, the player was registered correctly on the server, but your local PC just missed him somehow when adding him to your local roster. It might simply be enough to log out, log back in, and view the tournament, and the missing player might show up for you.

If that doesn't correct it, then you might need to also delete your local temporary file. If you navigate to your saved games folder, delete the relevant league file (it should be something like draft_7ea2000000000000000023123124.pt), then log back in and go to set your roster in the tournament, there's a good chance that can trigger a refresh from the server on the eligible players.

If neither works, we'd need to know which team and which tournament, and the team could investigate further.

Thanks, it was HR Derby Pop-Up 2. My team is Alma Scots.

I don't suspect is an issue with the cache or anything, i think it's that I truly failed to draft a legitimate lineup.

The player I (thought I) had selected as my primary 2b didn't end up on my team and I didn't realize it until there were no 2b left.

I have to assume I just somehow didn't click the draft button effectively enough and I accidentally drafted the wrong player, but there is always some lag when clicking draft so i just didn't notice.

So I think the game did what it was supposed to do, but it ended up with me not being able to field a team.

Ah, so you mean you selected a full roster of 26, but some misclick had a wrong player? Yes, that is possible, especially in a draft like that one which had a wildly varying picks per round. Could have been easy to get in your head a round was pick 3, so you click 3 names, and the 3rd one will un-select one of the previous 2 as the round was only pick 2.

Right, at some point I clicked on a 2B, and it either didn't actually register or i inadvertently clicked someone else and deselected them.

So surely user error with an assist from whatever validation lag happens, but I legitimately drafted an illegitimate roster.
