How does this happen?!?
I'm playing as the Dodgers in NLCS vs. the Brewers, Dodgers up 3 games to 2, but Brewers ahead in game 6, 3-1 in the 7th inning and the AI chooses to put in scheduled game 7 starter, Jacob Misioroski, to pitch that inning. He already pitched a dominating win in Game 3, is scheduled to pitch Game 7 as you'd expect, and most importantly, the Brewers still had several relief options to put in, but AI went with the next day starter. Why did this happen? Brewers won game 6 and they put out their #5 starter for game 7 and got crushed.

Default setting for "Allow SP in Relief" is Only in Critical Situations" - could it be, that AI manager is coded to see two run lead in the 7th inning of an elimination game of the Championship Series as a "win or bust" situation?

They probably see game 6 as a must-win situation, and put their best starter in relief in game 6 to guarantee a game 7.I've seen the AI do that several times in must win games in the playoffs.

I always always make sure to bar using SP in relief during the regular season, in part because the AI makes bad choices like this. It would be fine if it were a hundred years ago, but today we really don't do that.
