FHM12 unable to make contract offer to player

why can't I sign Carlsson to an offer sheet ?
it's July 1st and I'm receiving "It is not possible to sign this player at the present time"

I can't post an image here, player shows as rights owned by Ducks, contracted to = "Free agent"

Did he get hurt in the season?

He may not be arbitration eligible - and if he's not, he may not be able to sign one.

from looking at his page, how could I tell that?

on his bio page, injury status = ok
injuries listed are 3 day injury in April, 16d concussion in March

If you are still on that date (or it is still possible to offer him a OS) you could also upload the save and we take a look.

i've uploaded the same to the ftp site, file = fhm12_northjersey.zip

it's a new multi-manager league I setup under fhm12
if you switch to a team manager, such as Briere, if you right click on Carlsson and choose "make offer" you'll notice the error

Thanks, I will take a look. I´m pretty sure the problem will be the multiplayer part.

thanks. what's weird is that I was able to submit an offer sheet to Barret Hayton (Utah) as the Devils, but not to Carlsson as the Flyers

Did you sign extensions to Carlsson (and Bedard) yourself or did the AI sign them?
