It looked like the Jays were going to break their losing streak.

Rex Palmer went 4 for 5 with a home run and Bob Ojeda allowed only one hit in 5.2 innings pitched. They took a five run lead into the 8th, only for it to disintegrate. In the 13th inning, Juan Gonzalez hit a Grand Slam, giving the Tigers a 10-6 win and the Blue Jays their 9th straight loss.

To rub salt in the wound, Detroit's winning pitcher was a Blue Jay yesterday.
