No Sound when Using AMP/DAC

For some reason I am not getting any sound when I am using my iFi xDSD Gryphon AMP/DAC. This is happening with OOTP 26 too. The sound works fine without it plugged in. These are the only programs that I'm experiencing this issue with.

I'm using the SpringFast versions of OOTP 26 and 27. The AMP/DAC is connected via USB. I have tried disabling and enabling the sound in the game settings. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the games. The drivers and firmware are up to date. I reached out to iFi audio support, and they recommended reaching out to OOTP support since it's only happening with OOTP.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Any devs able to troubleshoot or know why this could be happening? I would be willing to swap my FastSpring license for a Steam code if that can be done. I'm assuming the Steam version would work fine since all of the other games I've tried haven't had the issue.

Question for Customer Support... If I were able to confirm that the issue is solved by using the Steam version of OOTP 27, would it be possible to refund my FastSpring License or something similar? I have no use for two copies of the game. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

Yes, this should be doable.

On the basic sound issue, I really have no idea, sorry. We could potentially look into this a little more but it would probably be a little further down the road before we're at the point where we can fit this into our workload.

Still unable to find a solution for this. The problem exists in both versions, FastSpring and Steam.

The way I setup my PC to use the AMP/DAC for audio output involved disabling the Speakers in the Advanced Sound Settings.

Is it possible to check with whoever is in charge of the Audio development at OOTP to see if it's coded in such a way that the program only processes its sounds through a direct route to the computer's speakers or internal sound card?

It really diminishes the experience of playing OOTP as someone who manages a lot of games and watches the replays/highlights of the ones I don't.

You can output audio from OOTP through a USB device.
On Windows OOTP uses the default audio device to play the sound or (at least in Windows 11) you can select the audio device in the Windows sound settings for OOTP.

Could you please provide detailed instructions on how to do this? I am using Windows 11, however, when I go to the Windows Sound Settings OOTP doesn't even show up in the "Apps" section.

A program will normally appear in the list when it played a sound.

Maybe play the game without the DAC to have it appear in the list and then change it later.

That worked! Thank you so much! I had tried that before, however, I didn't know that OOTP only showed up on the list when it's actively playing sound. I would try everything to get it to show up, but I was just leaving OOTP open on the main menu. Now I launched a game reply and immediately solved the problem. Thanks again!
