Expected hitting stats

My team is playing very well including on offense but literally everyone's "x stats" "expected stats" whatever you want to call them are in the low .200s or even worse??? Is this a glitch or happening to anyone else? Or do I just happen to have the luckiest hitters on the face of the earth since Lou Gehrig

My first thought is to cross check that with their babip(s). Sounds like your players are "hitting into luck". You don't mention how many games played, ie sample size.

I can't say I've looked closely at this in my game but your post got me thinking.
What I just did is add babip next to xBACON in my batter advanced stats view in my game. I don't know enough about the advanced stats but this does leave me with the impression that comparing the two indicates who may have been lucky and who may not. I get it's not a one to one comparison stat with babip not including home runs, while xBACON would. Meaning while I compare the two I mentally take into account how many HR the player has. Not scientific, but interesting to me.

crashsports1, real life expected stats are derived from physics, exit velocity, etc. OOTP doesn't use physics to determine outcomes. Is the performance of your players consistent with what would be expected based on their ratings?

The expected stats in the game are calibrated wrong. It assumes really low offense so an average xWOBA is like .290 when it should be around .315. This makes it seem like all the hitters have underlying expected stats that are much worse than what they’re supposed to be.

Calibrated to what? Expected stats are based on... the ratings? If yes is that scouts ratings or real ratings?
