UPDATE: OOTP 27 Public Beta: 27.3.66

UPDATE: We have a few more things we wanted to get into this patch cycle, so have updated the build. We'll give this new version probably a couple days before full release.

We've been working through, and are ready to get the next patch out to the public. We are launching a public beta for this new version, 27.3.66. Lots of little changes in here, with some focuses on trade AI and balance, 3d movements updates, along with a mix of other fixes.

Important info for online leagues: This version is NOT compatible between versions. Once the commissioner has updated their game version, all league members must update to continue to load the league.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before attempting to install the update. Please note that you may need to delete or unload previous installers of the game after download. Please be sure that after updating you see the correct version of your game.
For Steam users, this is set up as a public beta version. How to access the beta on Steam:
Quit OOTP 27 if it's running.
Open Steam client -> Library
Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 27
Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
Click on the Game Versions & Betas tab, and select "public_beta".
Close the Properties popup
It should start downloading the beta version.
Note that you can opt in or out of the public beta version using the same procedure.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Interesting that the park factor change for random debut is called a fix. I always assumed the neutral park setting for random debut leagues was on purpose. It's been that way for such a long time, I actually can't remember it being any other way.

Figured I should add this. I'm not complaining at all. In fact, thank you for this change.

Nice quality of life additions. I saw #1 suggested and figured it would be in at some time. Sooner is better than later.

#2? If it was suggested I didn't see it. It is something I had never thought of, and a great idea. Whether it was a developer or user that thought of this, thank you. It may be a small thing but, seeing it while reviewing my first day's trading post patch, it sure made me smile.

I did not see anything about a fix for the AGM sending emails telling me to sign a player to fill our need when that player has been starting at that position all season.

How about a way to turn off BNN useless emails?

Any plans for prospect ratings adjustments in the full or next patch? Theo Gillen, Nathan Flewelling, Eric Hartman could use a boost. Arguably Franklin Arias too, at least in the power department.

Are there any plans to fix the red ink indicating league leaders pre-2026? This feature was available in previous versions. The absence of this negates both Black Ink and Gray Ink HOF mechanisms.

Also, all of the 2025 playoff teams but TOR and LAD show no playoff appearance in the team history section. Recent playoff stats for players also seem not to have been included.

Any chance the AI not following or sticking to the pre-set allowed reserve player amount has been fixed or plans to fix that?
