trying to make sense of the finances section
I just started FHM 12 and the finances tab is a little confusing for me to understand. I began a save on July 1st and saw that I had 405.6 starting points (based on the first image below).
I see a total column, which I thought would be based on game+broadcast+sponsorship+owner, but that does not equal. How is that total column calculated? Also, at the end of july, I have a total ending points of 79.8. How did I go from 405.6 to 79.8 The amounts in the columns don't add up to that much of a difference. What is the calculation to get monthly total ending points? Also, at the end of the year, do total ending points roll over or are they set to zero (after owner takes a profit I assume)? Also, I noticed that in the annual financial settings, the highest budget I can have is 95.5m (second image), but that is below the total salary cap of $105m. Am I not able to spend above the salary cap? The $95.5m budget amount is also repeated for both high and very budget amounts. Is that a bug? I appreciate the help. |

Don´t get me started on the points.
![]() But the "problems" you see are more a presentation problem: The "Total" column also contains "Transfer Income from last month" and "Fixed Costs", but both are not shown. The July row also contains (but does not show) stuff like wage/transfer_budget_options, Owner contribution, arena maintenance, thats why the Ending Points are smaller then the columns show (all other months should be correct). At the end of the year points roll over (see above details for the July row). The highest option for budget is set to a minimum of the Salary Cap, so it seems your team is not able to spend more. The "total salary cap of $105m" you mentioned is not the in-season Salary Cap but the Offseason Salary Cap (which is 10% higher until Regular Season Start). All in all we will make sure to better show the numbers in the future.
