PBP Randomizer "thingy"
Every game I play, I get a 3-0 count that ends up a strikeout. Or a 0-2 count that turns into a walk. It happens 4,5 or 6 times a game. It's almost predictable. Takes the fun out of PBP

I agree. I play out all my games pitch by pitch and am seeing way too many of these in this version as well
Per baseball stats only about 5% of 3-0 counts end up in a strikeout in reall life. That’s only 1 in 20. Also only about 3% of 0-2 counts end up in a walk in reall life life. I’m definitely seeing both ends of these multiple times in a game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've seen at least three threads about the ball and strike sequence being unrealistic without any attention from OOTP. They may be putting the priority on functional issues rather than cosmetic ones which I can understand. If its irritating then I suggest playing one pitch until they fix it.

I'd like to add passed balls/wild pitches with runners on third to the list. Seems like it happens every game I play out.

so it only happens when you play it out?
what is the actual numbers, not anecdotal. if you are doing pitch by pitch what are you doing? 0-2, are you purposely nibbling the corners? meh. no report, no summaries, no graphics. nothing to go on have fun. you are seeing oddities that make bb fun |

It could be that the reason OOTP has ignored threads on this issue is that none of them have presented actual data. |

I had an issue a few years ago that when i exited and saved a PBP game and then reloaded the game later, my pitchers threw nothing but fastballs for the remainder of the game. I posted a simple explanation and it was fixed

You provided no evidence just a comment that every time this happens. As you mentioned you're a 15 year vet here, then I'm sure you're well aware of how every year we get complaints very similar like these where a small sample size is mistaken for a broken system. This is baseball, where small sample size can cause insane stats. So don't get defensive, provide data to back up your claims. |

One thing I noticed, which btw is an extremely extremely minor issue, is the number of 3-pitch innings for pitchers.
I mean, they're still rare in OOTP, but they are almost non-existent in actual MLB. |
