Exports Crashing Everyone
We are an online league and just passed the first round of the draft.
Made a trade from Nashville and Carolina and noticed that none of the contracts got altered to the right team, but their rights were moved. We are now experiencing an issue where "export your file" has been crashing the game for everyone. No known corruptions on the file from anyone crashing yet. I edited the players contracts to the right team and that didn't solve the issue so I am stumped on a fix League file is attached below; https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zxd...ew?usp=sharing |

Just providing additional context on the player rights issue for the devs since I'd like a patch to it. This is often referred to as the "draft day bug" in online league circles. But it's really caused by releasing multiple files on the same sim date and can happen on any date if you release multiple files.
How this happens is File A is released on draft day, for example. GMs export on this file and trades are made. Commissioner imports File A team files, processes trades and updates the draft, then releases File B on the same in-game date. GMs export on this new file and this can repeat for several files depending on how many draft day updates the commissioner wants to release. Because some GMs exported only on File A, and because all those exports have the same in-game date as the last sim of the day (and all sims in between), you're still likely pulling in those leftover File A exports for your File B sims, File C sims, etc. Because these team files are operating from different player databases, this will "scramble" those databases where there are conflicts, mostly meaning the team files from File A can overwrite the player data if that player was moved on File B, File C, etc. The immediate fix when this occurs is just changing the Player Rights, Current Team, and Contracted Team all to the correct team on all traded players. Until this is patched up, the best way to avoid this in the future is clearing the FTP server of all team files in between each sim if you choose to release multiple files in a single in-game day. Edit: By the way, I've also experienced the same issue with the file crashing on exports around July 1 and the draft, which is usually coupled with crashing my game if I try importing those team files (they still go through despite the crash). Luckily, the two times we've hit this, and after I tossed out the bad team files, the problem has always just gone away as we get into mid July and beyond. I sent you a PM with the the fixed save.
A bit of context: the crash itself is most likely because the Commish did Staff contract offers for GM´s (and also upload more than one league file on the same sim-date). Since FHM12 the GM´s can do Staff contract offers themselfs and should do this (and not the Commish). Regarding the "draft day bug": we will try to come up with a solution for FHM 13 (which sounds more simple than it really is). Until then deleting Team Files from the FTP server when doing more than one new league file on the same sim-date is the best work-around.
