Missions- whatever happened there?

No new missions in a long time and the live series are impossible to complete bc of ridiculous prices. Last year seemed a lot more to do and more fun. Not so fun so far

When the missions arrive, the issue will be they are too costly or difficult.

My main team has several fistfuls of non-mission Gold and Diamond historical cards rotting on the reserve roster. Yes, I'm holding, but it's starting to get tiresome at this point. We're two months in, new releases several times a week, and no missions for a very large number of launch day cards.

Missions are becoming less and less important with time. At some point, we'll all be selling those fistfuls of Diamonds to buy the best Perfects regardless of mission content. Sad, because I liked the mission structures that prevailed prior to 25/26.

Agreed, ridiculous. Last missions were released 23 days ago. In season, at least one should be released weekly, like pretty much every other game out there. Have a set schedule. It's not difficult.

This is a game I've grown accustomed to playing for the majority of the year, but now it seems like a chore just to open it up, and it's only mid-May.

Even the packs seem like they're not living up to their quoted odds. I get the Twitch drops most days, so that's 5 packs/day for 2 months, plus all the packs from 87 completed missions. Have pulled just a single perfect and 7 diamonds from all those non-diamond packs.

Maybe the devs discovered missions were too easy for F2P players like myself to accumulate PP? I'd easily have 500k-750k PP by mid-summer, solely accumulated through missions and card sales Sitting on 200k now and there hasn't been a mission in nearly a month.

Easier to wait for reward card fire sale than pay 30K for 53 Marv Throneberry that fills the stack.

100% Agree!!! Over the last 2 or 3 years they have done almost everything in their power to cater a game to whales, and make it a chore for the F2P. The game was built on the backs of F2P players, and since they sold it, they have turned their backs on us...Oh Well...

This sums me up perfectly. I open the game and enter my usual tournaments, check on my teams, maybe open some packs from Twitch drops then shut it back down. I used to spend most nights playing and now there isn't a point. I am sitting on a few hundred thousand points but refuse to over pay to complete a mission so I am treading water.

I'm sure when they do release new ones the costs to complete are going to be ridiculous because all the whales will drive up the costs of the cards by ovverpaying.

they really have ruined what I thought was a perfect game up until last year.

Compared to PT26 we are about at the same pace. We have a little bit more missions last year as the rivalry week was introduced at his time.

But we started our with better cards this version. The early promotion were all perfects in PT27. The rewards for Live collections were better cards this year as well.

After 9 weeks, these early cards are still able to help high level contenders.

Missions can wait. Enjoy the players you have.

Don't tell me how to enjoy this game. I play specifically to hunt cards through packs to complete missions. Not everybody plays the game the same way. I don't recall going a month without missions last year, but if we did then that sucked too. I agree on the whole...they suck pretty much equally both years (at least in the early going).

And when they say it will be 2-3 times per month...this ain't it.

just to clarify, paul's job is not creating missions. which, as he plays the game at a competitive level, you wouldn't want him to be the person who does that anyways.

Yep... it's been a month basically. I am sure this post won't age well, and they will probably be out today, but 27/28 days is way too long to be engaged.

Yeah, it was about the same last year. 2024 (PT 25) seemed to be spread out nicely throughout the year. Last year was a lot like this year so far.

In PT21 or so there was a scandal where an employee was PERCEIVED to be playing against the players with inside information. People wanted this guy fired for it, but now an employee IS openly playing against the players with inside information and everyone seems to be just fine with it. I don't spend any money on perfect points so I don't care, but it seems strange to me.
