While I love the Canes finally getting some flowers, I still think Colorado is the team to beat. It's like people have forgotten they have been the best in the league all year.

Canes can seal their series w/Philly tonight. Their would be next opponent is currently tied @ 1 win apiece. The earliest that series could finish would be next Thursday. So Carolina could be looking @ a whole week off, minimum, if they finish off the Flyers. If Buffalo/Montreal goes 7 games, they won't finish until May 18th. That would be an 11 day break for the Canes.

As much as I want to see the Canes win the series, I'd like it a lot if Philly won today.

Sometimes a loss is good medicine. It helps keep you energized, hungry, and in focus.

Reason 6001 why player interviews during game play need to go away, or if they have to take place, I simply don't need to see the player talking on camera. Watching the Colorado/Minnesota game last night. Player is getting interviewed and sure enough Colorado scores the game tying goal. Learned zero from the pointless cliches of the world bit and missed seeing a goal to boot.

You could take every NHL player in every NHL rink & give them 100 shots & none of them would ever duplicate this ricochet.

I had a feeling the Avs would come back last night when the Wild were shutout in the 2nd period. Hockey ain't soccer. You can't get a multi-goal lead early & then try to play prevent the rest of the night.

Never happened. Partially due to the fact that there were several years where they used different seeding formats after each round and a team could end up playing another team from their division in the Conf Final.

I like complaining about the refs after a win. Cause I don't have to deal w/people claiming I'm a sore loser. Or "that didn't cost them the game" nonsense.

Someone in the post game needs to ask the officials why this wasn't a 5 min major. Short of decapitation, this is about as bad an act you can do to an opponent. If this isn't a major & ejection, then what is? Compounded by the fact it was set up by a missed high stick. I've seen the Canes twice this postseason get charged for a high stick when the opponent hit themselves in the face. How did they miss this? Finally, the Habs tying goal came after Dobes hit the puck into the netting. His own teammate pointed it out. But the officials never stopped play.

Canes won this one despite some shady zebras.
