Statement on Recent Investigation of Possible TOS Violation - 4/21

Good morning, everyone.

The Moderation Team has been investigating possible violations of Terms of Service related to recent allegations of some players using multiple accounts and manipulating quick formats. While we don't speak as to our findings and specific moderation actions, action has been taken. We continue to investigate the accounts and moderate Perfect Team. Thank you for your support of OOTP.

that's just crazy.

and the communications strategy here doesn't make a ton of sense. Why tell everyone someone is manipulating quicks to farm packs and then let them keep playing? there's a bit of an honor system going on with that kind of stuff with a game this small. with resources stretched thin, it comes with the territory, particularly when there are times where it is considered acceptable to have multiple teams in the same tournament (or at least this was the case last year, I'm sure it is this time too.)

a lot of feels bad for me in the game lately, between a roster bug that left me with 25 players going into the stretch in perfect league where a playoff bid looked likely, ultimately faded in september and get relegated, thats my punishment for trying to upgrade my team, though. I asked for a refund, they just assumed that some store credit would be recompense enough, but it was nowhere close enough to make me feel like I didn't get burned and I dont think theres any amount of in-game compensation they could really give me to make up for my team being derailed at that crucial moment, of all points possible in the year. it will be impossible to get there with the same strength I had the first go-round.

I know thats unrelated lol im just saying im kinda sick of how they never actually do anything to make things right, whether its getting rid of a team for cheating or all the stuff I wanted to complain about

also if you have nothing better to do than join the same quick tournament in a baeball card drafting game with a ton of alts youve built I guess on different licenses so they can all join the same tournament, you are officially the saddest gamer imo.

I'm OK with whales getting concierge service. I would just love to make fun of them at the end of the season for investing 10K+ on a video game that doesn't pay off in cash prizes.

I agree with the whales getting concierge treatment. Do not mind it at all. However, when one is blatantly cheating, and is not banned, but sent a strongly worded letter, you now know where the developers side with. It is getting more and more blatant year after year. It's about the money!! I wouldn't care how much the spent, they cheated and should be banned. Plain and simple. I manage 150 people, and if my best employee cheated/stole from my company, they would be terminated on the spot!!

There was a time when these type of quicks weren't going to happen cause of the potential of point shenanigans. OOTP GO actually made it easier to do just that.
