Important info for online leagues: This version is NOT compatible between versions. The commissioner of the league must import all exports from teams while on the previous version, and then can save/sim, at which point all league members MUST update to the new version

Is this with a regular standard start, live start or something else? Have you changed any settings or is this with default settings? Also, does this seem to happen from the first year or so, or is it happening further into the game?

EDIT: Generally when this sort of thing happens it's because teams don't have enough money, so a quick fix might be to boost your league's financials. But we'll take a deeper look at why that might be happening.

It happened to me in a 1992 save that I abandoned. Brett Butler, who was still a top player, sat out an entire season. I very nearly signed him before trading for Marquis Grissom. He ended up signing a 1-year deal with the Expos for over $2 million after sitting out that year.

We've noticed sometimes a couple of 50 overall type guys are sitting out most or all of the year.

Haven't seen anyone better than that, but we'll look a little more why that's happening and it should probably help with even higher rated guys too.

Curious about Superstats....are they only for 2025 teams going fwd? Im trying to do a historical playoff tourney and would love to have those stats but cant seem to get them to accumulate.

My Superstats never accumlate in the historical series/playoff/tourney format, only in full-blown historical season format.

Agree with this. I posted about it previously but it didn't get much traction. More times than not a player doesnt get home from 1st on a double or home from 2nd on a single, which is opposite from IRL. Especially home from 2nd on a single.

Same here. Also a problem with runners not coming home in SF situations.

Yup and yup. Even advancement from 2nd to 3rd on deep flies to rc & rf (per text description, not visual, which we know can be wonky) seems to be less than normal.

It's a generic historical 1992 start, like I've done in the past. Unfortunately I deleted my old game as I wanted to start a new one with the new patch. Doh!

I tried starting a 1979 historical and came across the same thing.

I've been noticing that too, and it's happening in all types of games: Standard, Historical, Fictional. Every year, 2-3 players who would rate a 50/80 or 2.5 stars related to the highest league just wouldn't get signed and end up sitting out the whole year, then sign somewhere quickly after the next off-season starts.

The only thing I could think of, if it's not an explicit bug, is that it might have something to do with stubborn monetary demands by the AI player.
