I am noticing that there are a lot of highly potentially rated players but the issue is that most of them are pitchers and catchers. How do you change the settings to have a more well rounded group of draftees?

This isn't fixed, I have been on the latest patch and started up this game.

Check your start screen and make sure it says build 56.

You'd also need to start an entirely new save to see the changes here, as they will not retroactively update draft classes in saves you've already started.

If we’re already in a save would future classes in future years be fixed? As in if I’m in July 2031, already did several drafts, would the 2032 and beyond drafts be good?

For newly generated players going forward, yes. For players that are already generated, no.

Lukas, out of curiosity, what's the deal with the three upcoming drafts you can look at? I mean, if 2026 is the current class, you can see 27, 28 & 29 with a varying number of generated players. Are the players who have already been generated set in stone, a patch won't change them? If so we are talking about a new patch fixes the 2030 draft completely?

Players you see for future drafts are still in school/college. Their ratings will be updated as they progress and again the year they enter the draft. So yes, they should be updated by the patch.

They would be impacted by the various development-related changes that are included. They are not impacted by the player creation updates though if they already exist in the world.
