Help making a 308 team NCAA schedule?

Hello all. No idea how simple this would be or if someone could help.I created the NCAA baseball league for my league. If anyone would help or maybe tell me how in the world to setup a schedule to match current day NCAA setup? With a Friday, Sat Sunday 3 gam series and a tuesday 1 game series?

This came up a couple years ago -- see https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=356993. That mentions issues.

It is an extremely difficult task. It took a long time and a lot of effort to get as far as compiling what I think is a good list of the games from 2024. It is not perfect for some of the reasons mentioned there.

Personally, I am not going down that road of trying to compile something like that again. Even if that was good enough for 2024, without researching it I assume the population of teams in D1 is a little different a couple years later, presumably with a couple more teams.

Trying to do something generic as opposed to matching a "real" schedule may actually be preferable, e.g., to get consistent numbers of games among teams. That still has the enormous challenge of dealing with the however many conferences of various size and having some interaction (non-conference matchups) between them.

This may be a non-starter for you, but if you were more interested in a bunch of college teams than having the exact D1 configuration, then making a schedule becomes a more reasonable task if it is something like 16 divisions of 16 teams (256 total teams) or 40 divisions of 8 teams (320 total teams).

See im not even that picky about who the teams play, conference schedules and what not. I have a 52 game regular season am just trying to get things more off days mainly. Like college has like 3-4 off days total. Id love somehow to expand te season a bit and have more way more off days. If the game allowed more ways to make a schedule and was more user friendly this level of customization wouldnt be an issue

Ah, well if "not even that picky" means you would be fine with simply having 13 weeks of playing some team once on Tuesday and another team in a 3-game series Fri-Sun for 26 random opponents in total, that is doable.

I will say that 56 games over 14 weeks allows for playing 7 of each of the 1-game and 3-game both home and away so that could be balanced. With 13 weeks it would work out for each team to either 27/25 or 28/24 one way or the other.
