Hello again to everyone.
The team has been working through as many of the reported issues as we can, and are ready to start the public beta of the next patch cycle with 27.2.56. The biggest focuses of this patch aimed to correct some memory leaks which caused instability for some users, as well as to improve the in-game distribution of balls to fielders and difficulties. Changelist 27.2.56
Important info for online leagues: This version is NOT compatible between versions. The commissioner of the league must import all exports from teams while on the previous version, and then can save/sim, at which point all league members MUST update to the new version Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before attempting to install the update. Please note that you may need to delete or unload previous installers of the game after download. Please be sure that after updating you see the correct version of your game. For Steam users, this is set up as a public beta version. How to access the beta on Steam: Quit OOTP 27 if it's running. Open Steam client -> Library Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 27 Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu Click on the Game Versions & Betas tab, and select "public_beta". Close the Properties popup It should start downloading the beta version. Note that you can opt in or out of the public beta version using the same procedure. Download link for Windows PC (Fastspring Webstore Version): Main server: PC Installer Mirror Link: PC Installer Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch: PC Single Folder Installer Download link for MacOS (FastSpring): Main Server: MacOS Installer Mirror Link: MacOS Installer We'll monitor this over the next few days, and will aim to release officially early next week if there are no issues Thanks, Matt + The OOTP Team Last edited by Lukas Berger; 04-25-2026 at 12:20 PM. |

Thanks Matt!
Can you elaborate on this point a bit? Was going through some bug threads and such but didn't see much related other than my back and forth with Landsdowne in the historical db thread about editing some historical pitch type values and it not reflecting on the front end. Thanks! |

Had hoped that the Feeder "Create" display issue would have been resolved in this Patch iteration. Rest looks good. Will have to wait for next patch to see if it gets included as kind of stuck until the feeder create issue is resolved.

How will this work with leagues that are already running. Will this correct pitchers that have already imported? Will all new amateurs import correctly, or do we need to start a new league?

Hello all ..
Does this patch finally fix the following? .. havent started a season waiting on a fix ..: 1) import/export bug (editing stats will cause L/R handed splits to add to his season totals) 2) the HOF section not working correctly (HOF plaques still not showing up and extremely loooong loading times for HOF section to load).

Hopefully toning down the injuries will help with starting pitcher development. Even on Hall of Fame mode, starting pitching just doesn't really develop that much in my opinion on current patch.

The draft tweaks look great! Simmed about 20 years into the future and tested out a couple classes; once you get to round 3 or 4, there are very few to no 50-potential players left, which I think is much more realistic.

It might update correctly when you switch over to the next year, if you have 'update according to history' checked though, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I hope that this means the 1B will now step on base when possible, and not make a full on overhand throw to the pitcher who has run all the way to First, when they could take one step.

Yes, that's the 'Fixed too many GB 3-1 plays' item on the changelist.

So thanks for the fielding patch and also helps fix the run environment issues
However, I still find it a bit unrealistic historically when it comes to CF fielding mainly CF is historically one of the most demanding positions when it comes to fielding, and yet the balls in play are lesser than LF and RF. I also don't believe that 2B should be getting that much plays too as a result. In the link is the 2010 sim I ran to look at the fielding numbers. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ywg8a...=u4nas93q&dl=0 |
