Yeah that happens when a player didn't have an AB his first year (so just a defensive replacement or a pinch runner who didn't score)... not every players but it's always those players.

At minimun 2017, may be other years too, the incorrect playoff structure is the default.

Went East Indian. I'll see if I have a facegen file for him and try to make it so it doesn't even matter for many...

Awesome! Yeah I wasn't sure if the back and forth here was monitored that way since I didn't really officially post it in a bug report. The dev team rules.

1874 and 1875 Strikeouts
There is some sort of data entry issue with pitcher strikeouts in 1874 and 1875. An instructive example is Dan Collins (collida01), who is credited with 18 Ks in 11 IP in 1874. This gives him a K/9 of 14.7. In reality, Dan Collins had zero strikeouts in 1874 (here are newspaper reports of his two appearances: https://imgur.com/yyh97aS and https://imgur.com/AchIlf0). Fangraphs has the same strikeout values as OOTP, which makes it easier to see the issue: https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/ma...n1=1874&qual=0 Everyone has a strikeout total of 10,11,12 through 18. While Dan Collins is an easily-observed example, it seems that every pitcher's SO count is incorrect. This leads to high-IP pitchers having a terrible K/9 and the Dan Collins of the world having an amazing K/9 (and correspondingly amazing in-game Stuff rating) Baseball Reference has what appear to be the real numbers: https://www.baseball-reference.com/l...pitching.shtml Note that BR's data has 357 SO recorded by batters and 357 Ks thrown by pitchers. Fangraph's data (and similarly OOTP) has 345 batter SO, but only 192 pitcher Ks. A similar problem occurs in 1875 - all pitchers have SO counts between 6 and 26. George Wright is credited, for example, with 11 K in 4 innings pitched. As far as I can tell, the BR strikeout numbers for these seasons are basically correct (up to the general uncertainty of 1870s stats) and the FanGraphs/OOTP numbers are just all in error. EDIT: Also, note that I'm still on '26, so I apologize if this has already been resolved. Last edited by tiax; Today at 09:02 PM. |

Looks like I will need to go and edit each pitcher for each year. Glad it is 1874 & 1875 and not a later year. Those years are at least a manageable number of pitchers to go through. I'll post here when the edits are complete. One complete, the next patch that generates a new database will have all the BBR numbers in it, so it will then be corrected at the OOTP main database and there will be no need for you to use Dr Dooms tool and manually do it.
