'Over roster limit' in minor leagues
I'm not sure if this should be in tech support forums or not; it's not really a software issue, but fairly often when I hit 'finish today' it stops me because one of my minor league teams is over the roster limit. I then go to the organization overview and let the AI set up the minors and it fixes it, only to screw it up again the next day. I'm sure this is just a setting I'm missing; anybody else seeing this?

I'm not in front of the game right now but there are settings for your minor league rosters so you can change that and you shouldn't have any problems anymore.

Seconded. I've never had an issue with this, though I do wonder if my settings have minor roster limits off...All my teams seem to have 35 players. Maybe the extras are ghosts? I only pay attention to Triple-A and 50FV+ prospects.

Having same issue. Have signing and releases set to minor league managers and it still happens. Then I hit the button to have AI set up complete minor leagues. Fixes it for one day comes back the next. I have set AAA and AA rosters to 30, A+ and A to 35, and Rookie to 50 if that matters. I assume it shouldn't since I didn't didn't have this issue in previous versions.

If you're making manual use of the "AI setup minor leagues" function anyway, why don't you just delegate minor league promotions/demotions to your assistant full time so that it's done automatically as needed?

Not to speak for everyone snepp, but us "GM" players very much like to have control over playing time for your best prospects, so that's a no-go for many I expect, it is for me.

I also put those top prospects on a short list for ease of monitoring. |

Is the issue too many or not enough players? Batters or pitchers?

I have 61 players on my AA team, and that increases all the way down to where the Rookie Leagues have 73. It's not even giving me the usual warning, seems happy to continue like this.
Second season, last season was fine. I have the Asst GM managing promotions/demotions and minor league managers in charge of the rest. Where is the setting for having the AI set up minor leagues? Edit: found it, I will mess around with that. Last edited by Pedro; 04-21-2026 at 02:07 PM. |
