Historical sim settings question

I feel dumb asking but I've never really did a true historical sim before and I wanted to do one and see how things played out.

I just want to be "God" and not control any team and just the the sim run until present day. However (and so far), the sim goes and then eventually I keep getting:

"Scheduled game could not be completed: <Team Name> roster incomplete.
Major League Baseball: <Team A> vs <Team B>"

And I do not want to keep having to hit the fill teams with fictional players button because it stops my sim every few minutes. I want it to just run....

What year are you in?

What you are describing often occurs in the 19th century if you have Retire-According-To-History on and Miss-Seasons-According-to-History on.

If it is happening in other post-1901 seasons, please mention some of the other setting you may have touched (like restricting AI roster moves, etc.)

This happened to me some prior to 1908. Instead of creating fictional players I would go in and manually move some players around.

I did start in the 'Early Years', 1871.


Based on what you guys are saying, I'll just start in 1901 and try again. Thanks!
