Extension salaries
Has anyone found a good salary setting? It seems players signing extensions fall below the latest guys to sign.

Just increase the base salary structure in your league

Like it or not, OOTP doesn't have a realistic salary engine. I don't blame them, that's a heavy lift. And it does have a fully functional system in place, it's just not going to look like reality. You can make marginal improvements by tinkering with the system (as suggested above), but it's easier just to accept what the game can offer. The cpu does!

I bump the superstar baseline salary up by like $5m, and the next few categories up by ~$2m or so. I also turn inflation down to 0-1%, and give the best young players (Skenes, Gunnar, Elly, etc.) 200 financial ambition. I may not end up keeping these exact settings, but I like them so far. |
