I was also having the issue on Mac and this was able to solve it!


Not sure if it'll help in a future patch, but the crash issue only popped up today after the latest update. For the record, I tried both an existing save and a brand new one (only MLB loaded in both) and was having the crash in both. Playing on an M1 Macbook and zero mods in either save.


Pretty anecdotal I know, but figured it wouldn't hurt to add my experience.

The game crashes for me on first pitch every time I try to play a game. This happens when loading an existing game.

I'm on a Mac.

I open my league. Play a game and the field screen comes up. The moment I start to play it crashes. It's the Mac version.

Thank you to everyone that is helping us to track down this crash. We noticed that playing games in 2D mode crashed on Macs. We managed to get a fix for this Mac crash. Please try in patch 27.1.45 if it still crashes for you.

Steam users please try the public beta. In your steam library, open OOTP 27 properties, Game Versions & Betas, select public_beta. You should get an update now.

MacBook Pro M3 14 inch.
downloaded build 45.
Seems ok 2D classic game and 2D modern. (I normally don't play 2D so I didn't experience this problem before).
Is it normal just to have the labels on the field and not the players while playing 2D? I think it is but it has been years since I tried 2D. See attachment.

Reed, there's an option to display label + photo, or label only.

Tried the public beta and it appears the update fixed the issue. I used my existing save from before and no issue and then I tried a brand new save and no crash either. I play on 2D/Webcast view.
