I'm proud to announce: The 1942 Boston Red Sox have punched their ticket to the final 32 becoming the first Red Sox team to make it to the final tournament by winning Bracket 25. Dom Dimaggio was series MVP and Ted Williams broke the single bracket hits record (held by Matty Alou with 31) with 35 hits! They stopped the 1989 Texas Rangers from being the first franchise ever to win two Brackets in a row. Fun time!

Big Beautiful Baseball Bash Update! Bracket 26 Champions. Our first-ever consecutive bracket championship for a franchise as the 1913 Boston Red Sox have punched their ticket to the final 32 Dance. Smoky Joe Wood was instrumental in this bracket winning the last 3 series clinching game 3s to take MVP

I think I'm going to continue my project on OOTP 26 as I don't see any particular benefit to moving it to OOTP 27.
With that said: Big Beautiful Baseball Bash Bracket 28 Champs crowned! the 1917 New York Giants defeated the 2014 Atlanta Braves 2-0 to capture the third spot in the round of 32 for the Giants franchise! Benny Kauff Was MVP of the series with home runs and great diving defensive plays in CF

Yeah, I don't think I'd move it either. I'll be checking in.

Big Beautiful Baseball Bash News! Bracket 29 Champs are the 1969 Baltimore Orioles. Paul Blair powered home the MVP award as they defeated the 1937 New York Yankees 2-0. The Orioles did not lose a game in the bracket going 12-0 in the 6 rounds

Happy to see the thread was moved to the v27 forum. I did see the last post in the v26 forum but was in a hurry and didn't respond. It will be much easier to keep up with it right in front of my eyes.
I'm not a Reds fan but when you started the project the '75 Reds came to mind as a team to watch. I see they are still there. Another was the Orioles of the late 60's to early 70's. Anyone from before that time and I'd just be guessing as to what to expect. My hope was my '84 or 2003 Cubs would overcome the jinx, but alas it wasn't to be.

I have a few questions:
1) are you keeping tourney-long stats? 2) if yes, how are you doing that as i wanted to try something like this and couldn't get it going. 3) how did you determine overall seeding? Thanks! I REALLY want to do one of these myself and just haven't been able to figure out the best way to set it up and go. |

Oh I do. I have a whole procedure for stats. I’m going to be digging into the stats long after this tournament is over. Seeding was easy. I took all teams regular season records and seeded by winning percentage and then run differential for ties. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
