Fun Fact Part 1: Kimi Antonelli broke Sebastian Vettel's record as youngest polesitter in F1 history today.
Fun Fact Part 2: Kimi Antonelli was born on the same day Sebastian Vettel first drove a third Sauber car in free practice at the 2006 Turkish GP.

I wonder if FIA will allow the teams to use the one month gap between Japan and Miami losses the number of hours teams get to test the cars.
That could go a long way towards making this season a bit more interesting and less jarring with all the changes. |

The two rounds in April are now officially not being held in April. Not: cancelled.
F1 reserves the right to cram them in some other time (summer break?). They better get contingency plans going now for Qatar, Abu Dhabi, and Baku. On a clear day, you can probably see Iran from all three of those places.

Ossie's car removed from the grid and pushed into the pits.

Aston ******* Martins have done more laps in competition than the orange thunderboxes this season.

Somewhat happy for Kimi for his first career W.
The internet will be very mean to him for crying during the interview. I was also crying, but for different reasons. Oliver Bearboy in a CNC machine on wheels is now ahead of Lando in the points. **** these regulations.

There was a GP this weekend? Literally forgot/didn't care. F1, welcome to part of my brain NASCAR has occupied since around 2004. On the plus side Katsuta won his first rally this weekend, which is a nice story. Yeah, a series with 2 cars and like 4 competitive drivers is more interesting than this trash formula.

It's awesome that Mercedes are dominating because they have the best engine on the grid while all of their customer teams are terrible, and one couldn't even start the GP because of engine related problems.

2026 and the "pinnacle of motorsport" has four cars fail to start a GP.
WTF is going on?!

I've gone back to the 70s and couldn't find a GP where more than three cars didn't start the race ..... EXCEPT that infamous 2005 US GP with the Michelin tire disaster.
Sometimes this is due to technicalities, f.e. the 1998 and 2001 Belgian GP's both have four cars listed as non-starters, but the regulations were different at the time, and both races had ALL cars going on the first start, which was then abandoned due to massive accidents, the race red-flagged, and later restarted with four cars missing each time. The last time three cars did not take the start despite qualifying for a race was at the 2015 Australian GP, for which Valtteri Bottas was ruled out due to injuries sustained in qualifying, and Kevin Magnussen and Daniil Kvyat broke down on the way to the grid.

It's just so embarrassing. I'd have to believe that the FIA and FOM are kicking themselves a little. There's no way they can be happy with the product right now.

McDimwit have already irreparably grilled one of Lando's batteries for the season and now are about to kill the next one. He's run the fewest laps in practice and the car is constantly in the garage.
I hate this bloody stupid team.
