Importing Views and filters from 26 to 27
I tried copying my 26 tables folder and replacing in 27 but none of my views or filters are showing.
Has anyone had any success importing them? |

Views and filters for players worked for me. Coaches are a different thing...
There is this blurb in the release notes stating Quote:
I don't know your setup, but I can tell you what worked for me with my Steam version of the game. I have One Drive disabled on my computer. It's an annoying piece of crap that only causes problems, and that's the nicest thing I can say about that. With one drive not interfering my Steam version saves my game to Documents and this is where the "tables" folder resides. What worked for me. With OOTP27 closed I... open Documents> >renamed the v27 "tables" to "tables-default" so I'd have a backup. >Copied my v26 "tables" folder into Documents >Opened OOTP 27 and player views and filters were all there. To confirm I went to every view I had and opened screens to confirm all worked as before. That's like 50 screens with 40+ columns per screen. Nothing looked out of place thought it's possible something new snuck in I didn't see. A quick look at filters too seemed to be exactly as they were in v26. IMPORTANT UPDATE Following the steps above will break views for personnel/coaches and sortable team stats. To get these two working I had to remove some files from the v26 folder that I copied into v27. And then replace them with files from the v27 folder. You will still have the v27 folder if you renamed it as I suggested. The files are.. "all_coaches_filters" "all_coaches_views" Again remove from the files from v26 folder. Copy the files in from the v27 folder. As always make BACKUPS before proceeding. Do the same for sortable team stats. The files to remove and replace aer "all_teams_filters" "all_teams_views" After I did this both coaches and team sortable views seem to be working as they should. Only things I can think of is you didn't get the folder in the right place? Or you didn't rename or move the original and when you copied in the v26 folder it didn't overwrite the v27 folder? Hope this helps, or if not you get it figured out.

Happy to help. The only drawback is you lose any new views/filters the included for v27. From what I saw using the default tables was that was new advanced stat views. I think I can build those on my own as I figure out what I want, rather than rebuilding the 50+ very detailed views I had in v26.

Thanks Sweed.
Player views,. Are they the views we can create inside a player card to set which stats we want to see displayed? The coach views are these the ones displayed on the lineup, pitching staff etc pages alongside the filters? I have so many of these coaches views and filters, set for so many various permutations its going to take me hours to reset these up. Not an issue perse in the scheme of things, and I certainly understand the developer dilemmas in this regard, given they've upgraded so many stats. But I will not be able to really begin to enjoy or get immersed in the new game until I reset up the filters and coaching views I had.....see attached. its going to take me soooooo long. uggggh

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...03&postcount=2 In short my first instructions, while working for players, broke coach/personnel and sortable team stats. The instructions on how to fix that are in my linked post. I think this gets everything working as it should. Like always make backups before you start. ![]() An example of coach, better term, personnel view would be making a view that only used training skills for a trainer. I'm talking about under transactions>personnel. I'm not sure if my player card views came with the tables or if they are locked in somewhere else and came with my import. However they came in, they are there.

Cheers Swede, glad you've got some of yours working! : I tried following this instruction here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=367719 As such I didn't take precaution and rename the table folder. I just followed the instruction, but none of my views or filters came across. But weirdly my shortlists did. I tried uninstalling 27 and reinstalling to revert to original 27 views, and made sure to delete the old tables folder. I imported my save games from 26. My shortlists were still there (maybe they're done in save import. I have no default OOTP 27 filters plus one I just set up to filter out VH Scouting Accuracy so I know who needs scouting. (maybe there aren't any?) and I only have default 27 views. Any help Devs or others may have to import my OOTP 26 player views views and filters would be greatly appreciated. Am loving the new look, although if someone could tell me where to turn of the tick button that would be appreciated too. I |

Man what a day... ignore this.. I've now got it to work.. I really don't know what I did differently. I previously copied the tables folder from 26, and got nothing.. but did it now and its all here, minus obviously the new default ones.. I might need to recreate these too.
Thanks and once again sorry for wasting folks' time when the problem was a PEBKAC one
