OOTP 27 Pre-order Update: 27.1.40

Me again! We've continued to work through the reported issues, and have another update to share. Our release is tomorrow, and we're almost ready to give this to the wider world. We'll take in the last feedback, as we gear up for the release tomorrow. Sometime in the morning, we'll give up an update on the full timeline for the day.

Here is the list of fixes included in this version. We've fixed a lot of smaller issues and hopefully cleaned up a couple of the cosmetic issues as well.

Fixed roster AI to avoid releasing recently acquired players
Adjusted player profile UI
Updated tutorial quickstart
Fixed dark jerseys appearing
Fixed foul balls taking forever
Fixed classic widgets moving around
Fixed unable to select edit schedule date
Fixed MLB salaries
Fixed several cosmetic issues
PT: Rearranged start screen box
PT: Pack open setting mouse click required does not disable pack until x

Note for PC Users: If you get a Windows Defender warning when launching the installer, click on "More info" and then the button to launch the program anyway.

Was the issue of no players on any teams when starting a standard game during the offseason rather than livestart?

That was fixed in yesterday's update.

If the players images were already created, it won't fix those cases. But it should avoid creating new ones. Anyone who already had an image created with the weird jersey shading, you should go and delete their pictures.

Still having the issue with the patch not taking on Mac for some reason and just showing as Build 37.

(EDIT: I will add to preface...that I did not have any old installers sitting around. I also tried downloading the mirrored version and even downloading from different browsers. No dice.)

I dragged the install to my applications folder where it replaced the existing install. When the application opened, it gave me the "This is an application downloaded from the internet, do you want to open it?" as if it were a fresh install.

One weird thing that seems different from when I used to use the Steam version is that this install is in some seemingly segregated area different than where other apps are. I'm actually not able to use the in-game file directory system to navigate "out" of it into the rest of my computer. Like I couldn't use the file directory to go into the OOTP 26 folder for instance.

It lists a "Downloads" folder that I seemingly can't access through the in-game file directory system. I think it's because the "Downloads" folder in this area is just a shortcut to my actual Downloads folder.

Is this where the game was supposed to install and could that have anything to do with it? Should I consider uninstalling and re-installing? If so, what should I do differently and will that affect my license at all?

What I do on my Mac. It always ends up in the app folder with all my other apps..Not in the Library or applications support, etc..
1. Download the build.
2. Select go at top of desktop and go to the download folder.
3. Drag the installer to the desktop.
4. Double click on installer.
5. A window opens up and I drag the game icon over to apps icon.
6. It asks. If I want to install over older version. (I think this is where it asks) and I say yes.
7. Go to apps folder and open game. It might say it’s from the internet and do I want to proceed and I say yes. When game opens check build number.
Anyway, that’s what I do and it works for me. Good luck.

I was wondering if we make trades in the fam if we have draft pick trading can we get it done so AI teams trade draft picks too just just us manual
Adding their draft picks to trades?

Thank you! I figured out that I had an old installer sitting on the desktop. Gonna clear these out every time now.
