Roster set issues (2026 MLB/MiLB/ KBO/World Baseball Classic/Honkbal/Indy/British League) go here

Hey all,

We want to constantly improve the real roster set, so please post issues you run across here once the game is released.

Please do not post issues with players being on wrong rosters, minor league levels, on or not on the 40-man rosters, lineups, pitching staff spots. The AI sets these up and there is nothing we can do to force player X to be used in a certain predefined way. Also, do not post stuff like "Freeman just hit .250 in my sim, this cannot be right." or "Why has X better ratings than Y?".

Please, please before you make any comments in this thread that touch on ratings or rankings, turn off scouting. If you're commenting when you still have scouting on, it's inaccurate, confusing and a waste of both our time and your own.

Please do post here:
- Errors in contracts
- Issues with players being in the wrong organization
- Vastly wrong player ratings (disable scouting first so you see the real ratings), for example a Double-A scrub having allstar-calibre ratings

With a release before the season has even started there some things are still a work in progress and not yet completed.

- Please be aware that some Korean players have been randomized. This is due to legal requirements in Korea. Foreign players in the KBO have also been randomized due to rights issues.
- In the KBO the licensed players are still those from last year. Rookies have not yet been added. We will get the rights to this year's licensed players, including some rookies, before long and update/add them to the game. We will work on that and continue tweaking KBO ratings as we come up toward opening day.
- Schedules are not yet correct for the US Indy Leagues or Honkbal.
- Rosters are still from 2025 or are not set for the Indy Leagues, British NBL and Honkbal, who have not yet set their full rosters for this year.
- The British NBL and Honkbal are still missing 2025 stats (these are a bit problematic for the NBL as the teams involved played at three different levels last year).
- MLB and MiLB rosters and ratings should mostly be finalized, including those of prospects. The team prospect lists should mostly be very close to real life. However we will continue to tweak some of the lower level prospects in particular, as more lists and scouting reports come out. We will also tweak MLB level ratings to get rosters to more closely reflect those on Opening Day.

Thanks for helping!

Rockies Contracts in Current Day save

I'm noticing on modern-day saves, lots of players with active service time, in some cases 2-3 years in the majors, are listed as having minor league contracts. For example, on the Rockies, the following players on the active roster are listed with minor league contracts.

Hunter Goodman
Jordan Beck
Kyle Karros
Nicky Lopez
Edouard Julien
Victor Vodnik

These players all debuted in the last few years, so they should be on a major league contract with minimum deals or coming off arbitration.

For Cleveland

Kyle Manzardo
Bo Naylor
Bryan Rocchio
Daniel Scheeman

This is normal.

These guys are on minimum deals and once you sim through Opening Day and they are on MLB rosters then, the game will update their contracts to MLB minimum contracts to reflect this.

Some O's contract issues:

Tyler O'Neill is listed as having an opt out after this season, but in real life he does not have any opt outs remaining (https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/player/_...4/tyler-oneill)

Ryan Mountcatle needs his option year for 2027 added: $7.5 m club option for 2027 (https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/...tle-trade.html)

Pete Alonso is making $31m per season, the game doesn't have his salary right (https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/player/_...74/pete-alonso)

Dietrich Enns is a free agents after 2027, not arb-eligible as the game lists him (https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/player/_.../dietrich-enns)

I have fixed O'Neill for the next build.
Added Mountcastle's team option year (spotrac did not list it).
Alonso's payroll salaries match spotrac, 21 this year and 33.5 for the next 4.
Looking into Enns

Very oddly, it seems like ~75% of the Venezuelan players have dual Belizean nationality. Acuna, Andres Gimenez, the Contreras brothers, just to name a few.

Ones who don't include Altuve, Francisco Alvarez, and Moises Ballesteros.

EDIT: Revising this. It's not that stark, but just seems to disproportionately affect the higher-rated players. See screenshots.

Forgive the false alarm on Alonso! I was looking at the wrong tab on Spotrac.

For Enns, on my OOTP finances page, it lists him as arb-eligible after that two year deal expires, but spotrac has him as a free agent (I can post a screenshot later it helpful, I am not at my laptop)

For Enns if he would be a "Super Two" after 2027, which if he is on the active roster the entire seasons of 2026&2027 it would give him 2.162 service days which likely would qualify him for super two status and make him eligible for arbitration I believe.

I think he's exempted from arb because he returned from overseas on an MLB deal or some technicality like that. But there's probably no way to replicate that exemption in the game. A minor thing, I think I'll survive is a journeyman RPs contract is off--the contracts overall look in great shape this year!

We can artificially inflate his service time so we would not be eligible. That is what we do for the foreign players who come over on MLB deals.

If this counts as a roster issue, Brady Anderson (as LAA hitting coach) is listed as 85 lbs and it makes his facegen look weird lol.

These should be all fixed now for the next roster build.

I noticed that Murakami’s is inflated about a year too short, so it lists him as arbitration-eligible after next season.

Nonexistent rosters when beginning at 2025 MLB offseason

I began a save checking the "2025 Off-Season Start" box and no players seem to exist. Every roster is empty.
