Fullscreen on MacOS freezes laptop

When i try to make ootp 27 fullscreen either through the settings or by pressing the green fullscreen button in the top left my screen goes black, i can still use my mouse but no keyboard input works and i have to shutdown the laptop. I'm on a 2020 M1 Macbook Pro with MacOS Tahoe 26.2.

Hi, are you able to screen record the issue (on Mac it should be command+shift+5)? We're not able to reproduce this on our Macs so a video could be very helpful to see how it behaves

Im not the OP but it just happened to me, i can try to screen record. It happens when I go from windowed to full screen. Im on a Mac Pro 14 with Tahoe. It happened last year too. Then, when I hard restart my Mac and open OOTP, full screen works fine but the top manager bar is too high.

Is it also either using the green button or the fullscreen mode in the game settings?
Are you able to get a trace file of it occurring? (i.e. cause it to go black, then send over the trace file before reopening the game)

It works now if I do it with the fullscreen button in the top left but still get a black screen if I try to do it through the settings menu.

Ah ok thanks! I can reproduce on my laptop, also have to do it through the settings menu

Same as the other person who posted, it works if I click the expand screen button a little better. Not going through the game settings.

Ok we've been able to semi-identify the problem. Turns out it has also been a problem in OOTP26 (at least maybe even in older games) but had gone unnoticed. Will work on a fix, but for now please play in windowed mode
