An ongoing, unaddressed play-by-play issue in pitch-by-pitch mode
I've brought this up in the past on a number of occasions involving prior OOTP releases, and it needs to be brought up again regarding OOTP27. It involves the play-by-play during pitch-by-pitch mode. Certain content in the play-by-play window will tip off what is about to happen in a play.
During an at-bat, after the first pitch...
1. While the next pitch is about to be thrown, if the play-by-play text says something other than "..." only, then you already know in advance that the batter will not make contact with the ball, and the pitch will result in either ball 1 to 3 or strike 1 to 2.
2. While the next pitch is about to be thrown, if the play-by-play text only says "...", then you already know in advance that the pitch will result in either a foul ball, a walk, a strikeout, a ground out, a fly out, or a hit.
Again, this only happens in pitch-by-pitch mode after the first pitch of an at-bat. This issue has been reported relating to prior versions of OOTP and never addressed, and the issue continues to happen in OOTP27. Because of this issue, I've had to hide the play-by-play text during action so that I wouldn't be tipped off in advance what is about to happen.
