Tag Controls
I've never been able to figure out what the Tag Controls button is for. It's there on almost every list, with a master button at the top. You can click and highlight individuals using the Tag, or all on the list with the master button at the top. However, I don't see any way to filter on any screen, using the Tag Controls. It would be nice to click on (highlight) certain players and filter just those players that were highlighted...

Hold the cursor on one of the tagged players and right click. The right click menu opens up.
From here you can do almost anything on that menu. Things like... ask for scouting report and all will go on your scout's list. add to a shortlist move to a different level release etc. etc. Lets say you right click on a list of 10 selected players. In the right click menu it will state you are making a decision for 10 players. My game isn't open now, but I think you'll see something like "(10 players)" in parentheses. To be clear for it to work you have to right click on one of the tagged players. Using asking for a scouting report as an example. Tag 10 players, right click and ask for report. When you do that you will get a popup box stating "10 players have been added to your scout's list". One thing I do is have shortlists for each minor league level. AAA, AA, A+, A, R. During spring training I use these lists to keep track of what level each player came from to attend ST. At the end of ST all I need to do is go to that list, pick the master button, and return them to that level. While looking over FA to fill in my minor league teams I'll use these lists to keep track of which FA I planned on putting at which level. I may have 10 or more minor league contract offers out there. This method saves me from going "all right Joe signed, but what level was I planning on having him play?". If he's on the A+ list that's where he's going. It's also possible I have three offers out to A+ players and they all sign at the same time. Tag 'em all, move 'em all. You can also use this to filter the players in a round about way. I have a "Player Comparison" shortlist where I do one to one comparisons, but also dump players so I have them in one place to see whatever I want to see. As long as whatever view you want to use is a "universal" view it will be available in the shortlist screen. Not as slick as what you want but does the job, albeit not with one click.

Ok, thanks! I was aware of the right-click thing. It still seems like it would be simpler to be able to use the tag controls button to filter players on the screen you're currently viewing...
