When Scott Radinsky entered the game, the Jays had a 7-1 lead over the Tigers. When he left it was a 7-7 tie. Gary Sheffield gave Detroit a two run homer in the 11th for a walk off, 9-7 win. Vincent Ramey, Willie Greene, and Manuel Garcia all homered for Toronto. Larry Morris pitched great after Radinsky left, but then he was pulled with two out in the 11th due to elbow pain. Word is that it is inflammation and that he will need a two week stay on the IL. WP - Will Bird (3-0) LP - Larry Morris (1-1) Record - 28-32

Wally Joyner went in hard to 2nd to break up a double play. He did, but he also broke John Valentin's rib. A fire was lit under the Jays as they thumped the Tigers, 9-0. Nolan Richards allowed three hits in seven innings. Manuel Garcia homered. Valentin is going to be out for 4-5 weeks. WP - Nolan Richards (4-1) LP - Mark Gubicza (5-7) Record - 29-34
