World Championship Interferes with Stanley Cup

So I'm playing a fictional league that mirrors the NHL in most ways (32 teams, 2 conferences, full playoff schedule, etc.) My team made it to the Stanley Cup finals in the 3rd season, and was leading 3-2 getting ready for game 6 on June 18th. Then about a third of my players left with a designation of International Duty (World Championship), so I don't have enough players to continue. Did I miss a checkbox somewhere to prevent the Worlds from taking my league's players? Is there anything I can do, or is it screwed?

Since I didn't receive a reply, guess I'm screwed. This is a game ender for me as it ruined my season. Maybe I'm stupid or I just missed something, but I don't see a way to prevent a World Championship from taking players from my league during a Stanley Cup - type tournament. I enjoy the game, but this would end it for me. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not that experienced with custom games but I don't think there would be a check box to prevent the World Championship teams from selecting your players - perhaps (if not already implemented) there needs to be a more robust option to prevent the WC from conflicting with SCF in the first place. Hopefully Sebastian or someone who is more familiar with Custom Games in general can give their insight on this one.

First of all: sorry for not responding on your initial post.

We looked into it today and the WC is scheduled as late as possible but it looks like it can happen that not all PO´s are done by that time.

For the next update we made the follwing change now: it will now only select players for the WC that have no games left to play anymore. Should that lead to the problem that not enough players are available for a national team, the game would then generate new players to fill the gaps.
