HEY GANG,

NEW FILE on first page updated 2-8-26!!!

I added all of the NRI's as possible for each team per FanGraphs. Most teams have an overflow of talent (40-50 players) at AAA.

We are now at the point of pitchers and catchers reporting in a few days. We made it! Spring Training is officially *almost* here!!!

I hope everyone enjoys the 2026 MLB season!!!!

Not sure if or when I will have any more updates now since season will start soon. I'd highly encourage everyone to use this file to start and enjoy the season with!!! I may actually take some downtime to start a season now.

Thanks so much CBL, this is the first time EVER I have played a current-year save. Looking forward to something a bit different, after reading David Fleming's great Baseball Obscura annual got me keyed up more than usual.

What happens if you retire all of the OOTP generated ones?

Hi, I downloaded update #16 that went live earlier today, but when I tried to expand the file it said "file is unable to be expanded". I'm not sure if that is an issue just on my end or not, but I have never run into this issue on any of your previous editions.

I've searched around the forums and haven't seem to find a good step by step that a non computer dummy like me can follow.

First you need to unpack the file. I would recommend you create a new folder and title it "2026 save" or something like that. Then copy and paste the downloaded files into that new folder. Then you need to access the OOTP 26 game files. In there you need to locate the saved_games folder. Then all you need to do is move the 2026 save folder into the saved games folder, then you should be able to find it when you open OOTP.

I think it is included in the file, sure I looked in a team schedule calendar and saw the Red Sox playing the Reds in their opening series.

Yes this is correct.
The 2026 MLB schedule is already loaded

i cant for the life of my get this to load. its like its stuck to one drive or something dumb like that. I mean my other saves are in same folder

All my other saves show as a OOTP26LG File type

This one shows as a file folder

When you open the game, click on load game, then hit the open folder button, the folder needs to be in there the one with the lg file types is the wrong one (i had the same issue initially)
