Low morale and personality traits like loyalty, greed, or plays for a winner almost never seem to negatively affect a player’s contract extension talks or free agency decisions with me. If those factors were actually linked to difficulty settings, and higher difficulties made personality, chemistry and morale more consequential, so that certain players became much harder (or even impossible) to re-sign or get in free agency, that would be a major improvement.

I saw where other people were talking about editable helmets but I'm honestly not seeing any differences. Seems like the graphics are relatively the same as it has been the last 2 releases. Maybe an upgrade to the PBP voice at least?

I'm in like always!

Not sure how I feel about "difficulty" settings as they are explained earlier per se. Making the user's team into the Athletics in terms of player popularity or pretending that the user kicked every GM's dog at some point in life by refusing to deal with them unless it's an outrageous steal, while likely achieving the desired the result of making the game more difficult, does also seem to take some realism out of the equation.

If the trade AI is that much more improved though, then sign me up for just riding with default and using the new sliders to police myself into only allowing myself X trades or whatever. Also that shop a player result set that can be sorted is a game changer! Would love for an extra offseason event for Winter Meetings or something that is more amped up as well. Hopefully one day!

Will anything be done to Ai as to Modeling of Classic or Historic Stadiums? I hate the way OOTP26 always gives "domed Stadiums to every team...even in 1898 or 1926. Please make that part of historic games go away!

Especially in the minors as i see players seem to take forever to develop as the years go on as i am in the year 2144 and players seem to take 10 years to finally develop even with good coaches too as i concentrate on good development type coaches

My best guess is the new difficulty setting is to appease (for lack of better term) the few that post here every year "other games have difficulty settings. why doesn't OOTP?". Now we can read the "this isn't much of a feature, why is it even there?" posts.

Waste of coding time? IMHO for a game like OOTP, yes. However I can't imagine it took much time to implement. I'm not going to criticize the dev team for putting it in. If someone else likes and uses it? Fair enough.

Yeah, winter meetings with the flavor of "trade deadline day" would be nice. If it isn't in 27 and coming up in an announcement, I have to think it will still come in at some time.

A ton of animation, 3d gameplay and player model improvements, that I imagine we'll get into a little more over the road to release

Well, likely not all, as in all 800 or whatever.

Getting that many guys in takes time.

The most important ones (The top 50 or so, who there's actually enough info on to more or less properly rate) will be.

Competitive Balance Picks

Hi,

Are competitive balance picks (including the ability to trade those picks) going to be implemented this year? It has been my biggest Wishlist item for years now.

I feel like enabling draft pick trading changes the dynamic too much but have been looking forward to tradeable competitive balance rounds picks for a long time.

Yeah, for me even though I play out all the games, the offseason is really the beauty of this game imo so adding any other events to that would really be awesome. Making the trade deadline a more robust event has imo been the best added feature to the game since I've been playing the last 6 years or so.

I think it is great that OOTP is still producing updated versions and that there remains a dedicated user base. For me, nothing that moves the needle from what I am seeing at this point with v27 and will likely stick with v25 for now.

Last year, I suggested just using the same "close" animation for 90% of the steal attempts then just have the outcome determined by the stats engine. Save the "clearly safe" or "out by a mile" animations for clear mismatches.
