My favorite Baseball book is Moneyball. It is written by Michael Lewis. This book has completely changed my life. It influences most of my daily life.

Sometimes i wish Total Baseball and The Sports Encyclopedia Baseball
were still printed every year. Yeah i know most of the new stuff would just be the latest season. Still its a somewhat different feeling to just sit down with a book than stare at a computer screen.
Though i know cost will keep the books from coming back.
It would be great if they did.
Maybe they could update things we know or write different recaps.
If you just have the same information you can get online or in past versions then it would probably not sell.
Still it would be nice if the books returned.
I appreciate the fact that i can get baseball information online to use as i need but its also wonderful to just have it in print.
I don't know if i'm the only one but sometimes i would rather sit down in a comfy chair with a nice cup of coffee and just explore a Baseball Encyclopedia than staring at a computer screen.
Maybe its easier on the eyes but i think its more to the fact that you can get easily distracted online than you do just reading a hardcover book.

You're not the only one. I was sadden by the news a few years ago that the Bill James' Handbook was no longer going to be produced. The last yearly release I'm still able to get a paperback of is BA's Prospect Handbook and it will be a very sad day when they quite releasing that.
