Group Release Bug

Competitive league play. I'm going through my minors to find guys to dump to make room for draftees. Normal every year activity. Throwing them all in DFA.

Once I am done, I highlight them all and drag to bottom left to release. No messages, all was good. Save, export, my work here is done.

Come back next sim to find a player I signed long term for $24mil a season was somehow included in that set. Maybe he was just back from injury rehab and DFAd. Maybe i clicked on his circle selection by accident from MLB. There was no pop up, no warning. He's just in FA now, and I have $24mil of Misc Expenses for the foreseeable future.

The pop up is a lifesaver. Its there for accidents like this. If any of the players in (selected set) would generate a popup upon release, then either generate that popup, or produce a warning saying these players must be released separately.

WTF?!? SO AM I!!!

I don't know how he even got selected in the first place, but I absolutely would not release my best player, frontrunner in overall All-Star voting, with 7.5 years remaining on his contract!

The Editor lets me put him back, but loses all of his contract info, which is a cheat I don't want. I just want to undo that one stupid mistake and not have to restore a backup from the beginning of the season when I'm already in in June 2029.

Apparently this a known but unresolved bug? Ruined a 4.5 year save. :-(

Edit his contract to whatever it was. In the BIO page of the player editor, lower righthand side.
